Our PAC needs your help. The PAC would like to continue to run the breakfast club 7:45-8:25am, selling muffins and juice boxes to our students. They need parent volunteers to sign up. Thank you for supporting our students!

Cross Country Team meets Mondays, 3:30, and Fridays, 2:15, on the track.

*** Congratulations to the Sr. Boys Soccer team for defeating PCS yesterday afternoon 4-2.  Gabriel scored 3 and Ayman scored the 4th.  Good game played by all.  Their next home game is tomorrow at 3:30. Come out and cheer them on.


CAREER CENTRE

Career or Educational Information:

Learning to Lead is a free leadership program open to self-identified girls in Grades 10-12. Participants gain confidence through interactive workshops and activities within a fun and supportive community. Starts October 4! Community Family and Child Studies - There are two fabulous Camosun courses being offered for FREE in Semester 2 online and Friday afternoon. Are you interested in Community, Family and Child Studies, then this is for you!!   We not only pay the tuition but can help with other expenses as well as part of a government grant!

Dual Credit for Grade 12 - If you are interested in taking a Dual Credit Course as part of your career pathway at Camosun in the Winter session, please see Ms. Mac ASAP!

VOLUNTEERING:

Sidney Library Teen Advisory Group - Teens ages 13 - 18 years, looking for an interesting volunteer opportunity are invited to join the Sidney/North Saanich Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG). Work on special library and community projects, meet other teens, develop leadership skills, boost your resume,  earn volunteer hours and have fun. Saturday, October 7, 10:30 – 11:45 am  Need more information? Come to the Library for more info!

If students are looking for easy volunteer hours, they can also send an email bsales@beaconcs.ca to sign up! We're looking for students to help set-up, take down after the event, and help out during the event in various roles.

*** Landmark Dental is looking to Hire! Thinking of a Career in Dental....this job is perfect. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday:  after school (3:45 p.m. –  6: 30 p.m.)  These hours are flexible – some days may be done earlier. Responsibilities:   Sterilization assistant/restocking (directly supervised by a Registered Dental Assistant).

*** The Sidney/North Saanich Library has a job opening for a Page.  Candidates must be full time students 16 years old or older.   We are looking for an individual who takes pride in being organized – accurately shelving materials and completing routine library tasks in a timely manner. Rate of pay is $16.75 per hour. Students apply online to the position. Deadline for applications is Thursday, October 5 at 5pm.  The 6 hour per week schedule is: Monday 5:15-8:15pm and Thursday 5:15-8:15pm.
