February is Black History Month. It is an important time to recognize and highlight Black experiences and achievements in Canada. As Black history is not limited to February, neither should honouring and learning about Black history. RebalanceMD is hosting their 8th Annual (!) Young Artists Competition. The past years have been a great success and a lot of fun. Not to mention, a fantastic chance for your students to showcase their talents in the community. Submissions need to be in by May 10.

Congratulations to the Sr Girls basketball team for placing second in their pool in the tournament this past weekend. There were some very physical games and the girls played hard and pulled through as a team. Chloe Glesby and Mia Penney were named tournament All-Stars, but a congrats to all the girls for their effort and sportsmanship while representing Parkland. Way to go girls, we are so proud of you all!
