Basketball tryouts: Senior boys' basketball tryouts are tonight at 7:00 PM. (Volleyball Players are excused)  And then the official tryouts with out-of-school evaluators are on Monday, Nov 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 7:00 PM. Jr Boys are today at 5:30 and tomorrow at 2:15, Jr Girls last last for tryouts is tomorrow at 3:15

Congratulations to Ruby for winning the BC Cross Country 5K Race with an amazing time of 17:17 and 30 sec ahead of 2nd place runner! Way to go Ruby, good luck at the nationals next week!

Join the Teen Advisory Group. Teens ages 13 - 18 years, looking for an interesting volunteer opportunity are invited to join the Sidney/North Saanich Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG). Work on special library and community projects, meet other teens, develop leadership skills, boost your resume,  earn volunteer hours and have fun. The commitment is one meeting per month from November 2022 - June 2023 with additional meetings as required to support our programs and initiatives. Saturday, November 19, 10:30 – 11:30 am

Interested in a volunteer opportunity where you'll meet new people and make a real difference in the community by taking care of nature?  Remove Invasive Species with the Greater Victoria Green Team!  Saturday, November 26, 2002,  9:45am-1pm at  Patricia Bay Park, North Saanich.  All ages, abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcome! We will provide training, tools, and gloves for volunteers. There will also be snacks and eco-gifts to take home at the end!  Questions? Save-On Foods is hosting a Job Fair to recruit for positions in ALL of their Victoria and Saanich stores!  

On Wednesday, November 16th they’ll be at their Douglas office (201-1483 Douglas Street) from 11:00-3:00, and on Thursday, November 17th they’ll be at their Borden office (201-3962 Borden Street) from 11:00-3:00.  There are still lots of clerk and cashier roles available, but their greatest need remains Drivers and Pharmacy staff.
