SISP is looking for host families for this school year.

With our continued partnership with the Saanich Police Community Engagement Division, we provide resources for parents and youth in our community through a variety of workshops and seminars. Join Saanich Youth Services in partnership with Saanich Police for a FREE Gang Education & Trends Seminar. This is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to better understand the trends police are seeing in our community.  In this workshop, participants will have the chance to ask all the questions they need to. Hear all the up-to-date information from police officers and youth workers in our community. Everyone from all walks of life and all corners of the community are welcome. Friday, November 17, 6:30-8:30 at Royal Oak Middle School. Registration Link. You will need to create a Saanich Active account to register.

Graduation diplomas for last year’s grads have arrived and can be picked up at the front office.

Youth Health Clinic is every Thursday night 5:30-7:30 @ Shoreline Medical Clinic.

The Environmental Leadership Ocean Group of Mount Douglas Secondary School has invited Parkland students who are interested in supporting ocean sustainability to attend their Diversity in Marine Science: Inspiring Youth in Ocean Sustainability Conference on November 20th. The conference will feature speakers on marine biology, ocean sustainability and student led activities. 9:30am-3:00pm, lunch will be provided. Registration is required by today.

GRAD

The Post-secondary BC event is coming on Wednesday, Nov 22 in block 1 and 2. Representatives for 15 Post-secondary institutions will be here to share information about their programs. There will also be presentations by UVic and Camosun in the learning commons for grade 12s. Please see Ms. Anderson or Ms. Romell to sign up for the UVic and Camosun presentations or sign up through the Post-secondary Google classroom.

Grad parent fundraiser at Brewsky’s Taphouse, Meat Draw and 50/50. Next date is Nov 18, 2-4pm. Parent volunteers can sign up for a date. All parents are welcome to come for some afternoon fun.

The next Grad Parent Meeting is November 21 at 7:00 in the Library Learning Commons.
