UBC Engineering Dept is hosting a virtual Open House on October 13-15, an On-Campus Open House on November 5 at the Vancouver campus and November 19 at the Okanagan campus. Register online by October 13.

October is ADHD awareness month. Did you know that children with ADHD develop brain functions such as attention control 30% later than children without ADHD? Or that children with ADHD have less of the neurotransmitter dopamine occurring naturally? This 20 minute video from Kelty mental health clears up some myths about ADHD and gives a helpful overview of the complexity of ADHD. KidSport Greater Victoria is a local organization that exists to help families in need access organized sport opportunities for their children. To be eligible for up to $600 per year in registration fee support, children must be 18 years or under, families must be within financial eligibility limits, and season must be at least 8 weeks long with an eligible sport organization.  For more information, a list of eligible local sport organizations, and to apply, visit www.kidsportvictoria.ca.
