***Keira Patterson competed in the Skills BC event yesterday in Photography and won GOLD!!!! She completed against Regional winners from all over BC and took home #1.  Biggest thanks to Mr. Gogol for all his support...and equipment 🙂  Now Keira can compete at the Nationals in Winnipeg in May!  BRAVO KEIRA!!!!   Ben Douglas also represented Saanich and Parkland in Electrical.  Also, last night, 3 of our Parkland students, as well as other SD63 students were awarded the Youth Work in Trades Scholarship at the Board office during the SB meeting with their parents and community watching. Logan Gotto, Logan Stetchman, and Dylan McKay were each awarded a $1000 scholarship for completing over 900 hours as a youth apprentice, 4 courses in YWIT, and having a minimum C+ average.  Tony Arthurs, ex. Parkland teacher, now with the Ministry of Education, was there to present the awards. So proud of all our Panthers!!

Love the ocean and looking for a great opportunity? Ocean Wise's Youth to Sea program is aimed at 15-18 year-old students, runs for 10 months (late May 2023 to early March 2024) and students can gain school credits or volunteer hours for taking part.  Deadline for applications is April 24th.
