For all the students participating in the Remembrance Day ceremonies on Thursday, please meet in the theatre today at the beginning of block 3 for a rehearsal.

The Board of Education is reviewing its bus transportation policy and is seeking feedback from parents, staff and students (middle and secondary). Your input is appreciated, this survey closes November 15th. Please complete the survey here.

Attention Parents: if you are interested in participating in the PAC Breakfast Club, please email parkland.pac.sd63@gmail.com. Breakfast Club runs 7:40am-8:20am, selling muffins and juice to our students. Schedules will be done based on parent availability. Thank you for supporting our PAC and our students. Cookies anyone? 🍪 Parkland Secondary Rowing and Volleyball Teams are joining forces and  bringing our local school and community the tastiest fundraiser ever, Tasty Batters/Moms Pantry Cookie dough, Cinnamon Buns and Perogies! All proceeds will go towards these two amazing sports that Parkland provides for our students. ATHLETICS, SPORTS TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS AND GAME ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention Jr. Boys' Basketball players.  There is an important meeting today at lunch in room 202.

Senior boys' basketball tryouts are starting next week.  Monday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7:00 PM. (Volleyball Players are excused)  And then the official tryouts with out-of-school evaluators are on Monday, Nov 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 7:00 PM.

Congratulations to Ruby for winning the BC Cross Country 5K Race with an amazing time of 17:17 and 30 sec ahead of 2nd place runner! Way to go Ruby, good luck at the nationals!

Parents as Education & Career Coaches Workshop, mark your calendar - Jan 11 @ 6:30 MS Teams. Register now.

The Gustavson School of Business at UVic. is putting on two free workshops!!  
- The first workshop is Adulting 101: personal finance for students planning for college & university.  This workshop is on Thursday, November 17th, and will be lead by finance expert, Dr. Michael King.  Michael will take students through the ins and outs of establishing credit, navigating banking, and budgeting for their first year at college and university.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend  as well. 
- The second workshop is Entrepreneurship 101,  what makes a good side-hustle.  This workshop takes place on Tuesday, November 22nd, and will be lead by Entrepreneurship experts Dr. Brock and Claudia Smith.  It's a great opportunity for any students who aim to be change makers, self-starters, and/or have a desire to learn how to get ideas off the ground.  Adam Conlin, a recent BCom alumni, will be a special guest as he has launched his own food product, Justo's Plant-Based Dips.   

Sidney Library Volunteer Opportunity! Teens ages 13 - 18 years, looking for an interesting volunteer opportunity are invited to join the Sidney/North Saanich Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG). Work on special library and community projects, meet other teens, develop leadership skills, boost your resume,  earn volunteer hours and have fun. The commitment is one meeting per month from November 2022 - June 2023 with additional meetings as required to support our programs and initiatives. Saturday, November 19, 10:30 – 11:30 am.

Thinking about becoming an Early Childhood Educator? Camosun is offering a free Early Learning and Care opportunity to students in February. Ms. McNamee for more information.

Interested in Law Enforcement? Police Camp is being held March 18-25 for students in grades 11 and 12 interested in Law Enforcement. See Ms. McNamee for more information.
