Course selection forms for September have been distributed. Parents, please have a look at it with your child and sign the bottom before they are handed into the office. Due this Friday.

The Leadership class is holding an Outdoor Toy Drive March 6-17. - New or lightly used toys. ie: push cars and lawnmowers and sports equipment. All donations are going to The Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island. Donation box is in the front foyer.

There is a meeting Wednesday after school in room 106 for any students interested in Spring Sailing.

On April 8th, 2023 Science Venture is hosting the annual, free GoCodeGirl Event to promote computer sciences to girls and gender non-conforming folks. This year, the event is EcoCode themed: participants of any coding level will explore intersections between computer sciences, environmental sciences, and sustainability! Participants will also be provided with lunch and fun swag items to take home. Register today.

RebalanceMD is hosting their 8th Annual Young Artists Competition.  The past years have been a great success and a lot of fun. Not to mention, a fantastic chance for students to showcase their talents in the community. Submissions need to be in by May 10.

Grade 11s and 12s are invited to read frequently updated scholarship information posted on the Scholarship Google classroom.

You are interested in participating in the PAC Breakfast Club, please email parkland.pac.sd63@gmail.com. Breakfast Club runs 7:40am-8:20am, selling muffins and juice to our students. Schedules will be done based on parent availability. Thank you for supporting our PAC and our students.

Youth Health Clinic is every Thursday night 5:30-7:30 @ Shoreline Medical Clinic.

Congratulations to Scott Davidson for being chosen to represent Parkland at the Sr Boys All-Star Basketball Game on April 8 at 4:00 at Spectrum Secondary. Way to go Scott!

Join in the fun today at lunch. Come out to watch the Celebrity Soccer Game Staff Old-Stars vs Student All-Stars in the gym at lunch. This is a fundraiser to support the Red Cross disaster relief fund for the recent earthquake in Syria and Turkey. $2+ entry to this exciting game.

Any grade 12 hockey player that would like to play in the panther cup next Friday, please see Ms. Gribling in the office.

Sr Girl’s Soccer team practices are Mondays and Wednesdays after school, meet in the gym with your gear on.

Rugby Team practices are Mondays and Thursdays after school on the upper field.

Badminton is Wednesdays and Fridays after school in the gym.

CAREER CENTRE

A huge Congratulations to all the Parkland students who participated in the Regional Skills Canada Event the past two weeks.  Parkland students did amazing and represented our school and district with Pride and Talent!  Gold Medal Winners: Kiera Patterson in Photography; Ben Douglas in Electrical; Huan Zhang in Job Search. Silver Medal - Miko Chan in Culinary. Bronze Medalist - Isaac Petrick in Auto.  Fabulous job by all and big standing O to our other participants: Drishti Balaiah, Cooper Harper, Maddie Grimmer, Dawson Bikadi, Colitin Richardson and Saul Roland .

DND will be in the Career Centre today at lunch! Want to get some great experience and earn big bucks? Summer positions are available in metal, pipefitting, refrigeration, machine, millwright and more! Come by Monday at lunch to ask questions and get info about applying!
