*** The Canadian University Event is coming to Claremont in the afternoon of Sept 26th. There will be representatives from major universities across Canada who will be there with information and to answer any questions. Please see Ms. Anderson for the permission form if you want to attend. Signed permissions forms and $5 for the bus are due Thursday, Sept 21.

EducationPlannerBC and SD 63 invite parents, families, and student supporters to join their virtual workshop: Parents as Education and Career Coaches (PECC) on Wednesday November 8, 2023, from 6:30pm to 8pm. 

Learn how you can support your student in planning for their future. The information will be especially helpful for families with students in Grades 10-12. 

The session is engaging and informative, and includes a website tour followed by a Q&A.

 Topics include:

  • B.C.’s post-secondary education landscape, including institutions and credentials
  • Program and admission requirements, and application dates
  • Costs of post-secondary and options for financial aid
  • Career exploration resources
  • Using new tools such as My List to save and compare programs
  • Applying for admission through EducationPlannerBC.ca

The School District has implemented a new reporting system for students to access their report cards and time tables. Students can sign in with Saanich Reporting.

Youth Health Clinic is every Thursday night 5:30-7:30 @ Shoreline Medical Clinic.

*** Cross Country Practices start today. Please meet Mr. Burnham on the track, ready to run, at 2:15. Cross Country Practices will run Mondays and Fridays after school. If you would like to run in the first race of the season, next Thursday Sept. 21st at Lambrick Park, make sure you talk to one of the coaches (Mr. Burnham or Ms. Dibblee) before you leave school on Monday!!

Sport Performance Basketball class starts Oct 3. Students make sure you accept the google classroom invite for the most up-to-date information.

If you are currently in grades 10-12 and have a job, be sure to sign up for Work Experience and earn four grade 12 credits!! Come to the Career Centre by September 25!
